Meeting to Focus on Smoky Mountain Rumble

The Town of Franklin and the Franklin Main Street Program invite members of the business community to a special meeting on Thursday, February 23, 2012, to assist the business owners in preparing for the upcoming motorcycle event. The meeting will be held beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of Town Hall.

“This meeting is to educate and inform business owners such as vacation rentals, restaurants, campgrounds, and others on how they can benefit from the upcoming Smoky Mountain Rumble motorcycle rally,” said Linda Schlott, Franklin Main Street Program Executive Director.

The inaugural rally will be held August 15 to 17 in downtown Franklin.

“We want to increase awareness of the event and how it can benefit the Franklin business community. The rally was carefully scheduled by the Franklin Tourism Development Authority to bring another event to Franklin on an otherwise non-event weekend,” Schlott continued.

Promoters of the Smoky Mountain Rumble are scheduled to be at the event to answer questions and to tell business owners how they can leverage this additional business opportunity.
