News Community Free oboe concert is March 20 at WCU

The School of Music at Western Carolina University will present an evening featuring solo oboe with strings at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, in the recital hall of the Coulter Building.

Admission is free and the public is invited.

The program will consist of pieces composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and British composers Gordon Jacob and Arnold Bax. Performers are Terri Armfield, WCU assistant professor of oboe and music theory, and violist Michael Lancaster, WCU director of choral activities, with guest musicians Oleg Melnikov playing violin and Alice Ann Hermanson playing cello.
