During free seminars in both Macon and Jackson County, Southwestern Community College will present professional speaker Tim Dannelly, author of Living the American Dream. Dannelly’s first presentation on Why Salespeople Don’t Worry During Hard Times will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, in Founders Room 133 on the Jackson Campus. As a highlight of Macon County's Biz Week 2012, a second presentation will be held 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 11, on the Macon Campus.
Dannelly believes selling is an art that is mastered by those who learn and put into practice certain principles. During this presentation straight from the pages of Selling The American Dream ( http://www.timdannelly.com/bookstore.htm), participants will be shown what the great sales professionals of America know about remaining successful, regardless of competition and market conditions. From negotiation skills to the secrets of successful closing habits, he will show what has worked for generations of successful sales professionals.
“Successful salespeople convert strangers into faithful clients every day. While sales professionals are keenly aware of the ups and downs of the marketplace, they follow their own agenda and see the world as a place of possibility rather than countless problems. This proactive mindset is no accident. It is founded in the possibility thinking developed after countless successful encounters with thankful customers,” said Dannelly.
Dannelly, who has more than 40 years experience in the areas of sales, public relations and broadcasting, travels the United States as a professional speaker. He has also authored Forgotten Fundamentals of Effective Leadership and Selling the American Dream.
