Macon Bank donated 62 bushes and shrubs recycled from the old Franklin Motel property to the Mountain View Intermediate Schoo to replace the plants that were stolen from the school earlier in the month.
Holes were machine bored and the plants were placed in locations specified by Debbie Gibbs, science teacher at the school.
Students had a hand in planting the shrubs. Another 15 bushes and shrubs were given to Cowee Baptist Church for their landscaping needs, along with 42 concrete parking bumpers from the motel property.
