Franklin's Rotary Club honored the top 40 academic students from Franklin High School during its July meeting at Tartan Hall. Each year, Franklin Rotary honors 10 rising students from grades 9 through 12 that have demonstrated superior academic achievement.
This year, Dr. Jim Duncan, Macon County School interim Superintendent, awarded each student a plaque in recognition of their excellence. It was a time for Rotarians, proud family and friends to celebrate student achievement in Macon County. This year, all 10 of the graduated seniors also received a rare copy of “My Affair with a Weekly” by Weimar Jones.
