News Community Rolling Acres to dedicate ‘Remembrance Tree’

Tim Chavis and Matthew Pruett of the Franklin Fire Department lent a hand — and a ladder truck — to help decorate the Rolling Acres Remembrance Tree.

Every year, Rolling Acres dedicates the blue spruce, now 20 feet tall, to all park family members and servicemen everywhere who are no longer with us.

A ceremony will be held at the park in which the residents will say a prayer and sing a song in memory of lost loved ones.

Judith Pratt, in whose yard the tree grows, provided hot chocolate and brownies to the firemen with her thanks for their help.
