Police department recognizes outstanding officers

During their annual Christmas Dinner held on Dec. 7 at Tartan Hall, Franklin's Police Department instituted an awards program to recognize outstanding officers in the department.

Each officer was allowed to vote anonymously for individuals they felt were most deserving.

The 2012 recipients (pictured left to right) are Officer Brett Holcombe who received Officer of the Year; Tony Ashe, who received the Community Impact Award; and Sgt. Devin Holland who received the Supervisor- Leadership Award named in honor of Chief Ernie Wright.
