The Franklin Young professionals recently donated $100 toward REACH of Macon County’s Holiday Program. REACH of Macon County is a local Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault 501(c)3 non-profit working in Macon and Jackson County to eradicate Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. The holiday program provides Christmas gifts and food to clients and their children. Recipients of this program do not receive holiday assistance from any other agency. On average REACH adopts out approximately 17 families; however, with the addition of Jackson County these numbers are much higher.
Money was raised at the recent downtown Franklin Christmas candle & tree lighting service where cookies and cider were handed out to community participants. Donations were collected by a number of FYP members at this event, with the goal of supporting the REACH Holiday Program initiative this season.
