Church donates for playground at Iotla Valley

Caleb Partridge presented a check to Gary Brown, principal of Iotla Valley Elementary School.

Caleb is a member of the Iotla United Methodist Church and Macon County 4-H club and is presenting the check on behalf of the congregation and as a community outreach for 4-H.

The congregation organized a fundraiser to go toward the playground fund.

“We realize our neighbors in the new school have a real need for playground equipment and that the designated funds have been used for other needs, so we wanted to make a contribution towards the large goal facing them,” said Rev. Donna Cobb. “We know the kids will be so excited when they finally come to school one day and see the new equipment. We hope other organizations will join us in meeting this important goal.”
