Gem & Mineral Society awards scholarship

The Gem & Mineral Society of Franklin winter’s $1,000 scholarship recipient is Josh Fuller, who has now received two of the annual club’s scholarships. Fuller is attending Western Carolina University with hopes of graduating in the spring of 2013.

The Gem Society offers one to two scholarships twice yearly to any student in North Carolina studying geology. With Fuller is Jean Emerson, scholarship chairman. Photo by Linda Behr
