Lions Club present community service awards

The Frankln Lions Club held a Community Service Partnership Night on Monday, Feb. 11, in the Angel Medical Center dining room.

Community members were presented certificates as a way of saying thank you for their support of Lions Club projects.

Those receiving awards were (L-R) Randy Hughes with Smoky Mtn. Toys for Tots; Betsey Gooder, publisher of The Macon County News; Glenda Sherman with Macon Program for Progress Holiday Angels; Susan Hart with N.C. Division of Services for the Blind; Jennifer Garrett, Macon County school nurse; Martha Peak with Angel Medical Center Catering and Ruth Henz-Stilwell, president of the Franklin Lions Club.
