News Community Macon students exhibit art at the library

Nearly 400 Macon County students had the opportunity to show off their artistic ability last weekend at the Macon County Public Library at the fourth annual Macon County Schools Student Art Exhibition.

Students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade entered art from all mediums from watercolor to ceramics, 2D and 3D artwork.

The art show allowed students to be recognized for their artistic achievements.

All participants were given award bracelets with the 2013 art show theme of, “The Earth Without Art is Just Eh” on them.

About 500 community members went to the library on Sunday to recognize and celebrate the achievement of Macon County students.
