News Community First United Methodist Church located at 66 Harrison Ave. in Franklin will be offering a Bible study during the Lenten season.

The theme for the Lenten Season of Renewal is “24 Hours That Changed the World” based on the book by Adam Hamilton. The public is cordially invited on Wednesday evenings beginning March 16 through April 13, for a time of fellowship and a meal from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. and then study from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Children will also be studying their own track of the same book.

Reservations for the suppers are required. Call the church office at (828)524-3010 to make reservations. Cost for the supper is $6 for adults and youth; $2 for children up to 5th grade.

Following is the schedule:

— Wednesdays March 16, 23, 30, April 6 & 13 Supper, Memorial Hall - 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. ; Bible Study, Sanctuary - 6:15 to 7 p.m. Children’s Bible Study: “The Hanger” - 6 to 7 p.m.

— Thursday April 21 - Supper, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Tenebrae Service with Communion led by the Chancel Choir in the sanctuary - 7 p.m.

— Friday, April 22 - Community Good Friday Service - 12 noon in the sanctuary. A service of the seven last words of Christ.

— Sunday April 24 - Community Easter Sunrise Service – 7 a.m. in the cemetery
