Macon County Community Foundation accepting grant applications for nonprofits through Sept. 10
The board of advisors of the Macon County Community Foundation is currently accepting grant requests for community projects funded from its community fund, according to grants chairperson, Regina Lupoli.
Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Macon County.

The deadline for submitting applications is Sept. 10, 2013.
The Macon County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. The community fund was established in 1992 to help support local charitable needs through annual grants. In addition to Lupoli, Macon County Community Foundation board members are Tom Ritter, Jeff Cloer, Karen Kenney, Karen Stiwinter, Theresa Ramsey, Michele Hubbs, Derek Roland, Mandy Lail, Louise Henry, Jim Breedlove, Pam Collins, and Betsey Gooder.
With more than $156 million in assets, the NCCF sustains over 1,000 funds and endowments established to provide long-term support of a broad range of community needs, nonprofit organizations, institutions and scholarships. The NCCF partners with 60 affiliate foundations to provide local resource allocation and community assistance in 67 counties across the state.
