News Community Former Russian interpreter to speak at aviation meeting

Alan French is working aboard a helicopter in Arizona with officials from a former Soviet nation.Bridging the communications gap between Cold War adversaries is the topic of a Russian language interpreter for the U.S. Air Force at the Tuesday, Sept. 17, Aviation Historical Society meeting.

USAF Russian language interpreter Alan French of Franklin will share his work with delegations from independent nations that were part of the former Soviet Union and Air Force representatives meeting in the U.S.

The program begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Macon County Airport near Franklin. The public is welcome.
