An Herbal Pantry is featured at the Thursdays at the Library for Sept. 19 in the Macon County Public Library Meeting Room at 7 p.m.
Becky Lipkin will talk about how to create a culinary garden and how to use the herbs you grow in everyday cooking. Recipes will be shared, and delectable treats will be prepared to eat in this workshop. Lipkin will also have handmade soaps available for purchase.
Known as the "Herb Lady of Cedar Creek Farms," Lipkin is a certified aromatherapist and owner of Becky's Herbs in Tuckaseegee, N.C. Her company was created to share her love for herbs and educate others about the world of essential oils. Her products are available at various herb and garden festivals.
Thursdays at the Library is an eclectic mix of programs by authors, musicians, and educators on topics designed for enjoyment and learning. These programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Macon County Public Library and are free, open to all, and held in the meeting room on Thursdays at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
