In support of the American Cancer Society, the Southwestern Community College’s Macon Campus and Macon Early College (MEC) joined together to sell Halloween “Boo” Grams from Oct. 28-31 as a fundraiser for the Relay for Life program.
Halloween-themed, decorative bags filled with an assortment of candy were delivered along with messages across campus to students, faculty, and staff.
Those efforts raised $352 for the American Cancer Society, which plans to use the money for education, advocacy, research and support.
Dr. Fairley Pollock, the student services coordinator for SCC’s Macon Campus, credited supply contributions from Ingles, assistance from the MEC and SCC Spanish Club as well as advertising efforts through SCC Student Life with making the fundraiser successful.
