Macon Middle School student Jacob Wilson lobs a ball at a dunk tank while classmate Kyle Bush sits inside, awaiting the plunge. This and many other activities were all part of MMS’ “Silence the Violence” event, held on Tuesday, designed to teach kids about the dangers of bullying.
“Bullying can be anything,” said MMS Principal Scot Maslin. “It’s not just beating someone up for milk money. It can be verbal, mental, racial.”
MMS students learned that there are many types and degrees of bullying, all of which have a negative impact.
