The Franklin Main Street Program has begun a new initiative to encourage volunteerism in the community. Franklin Friends’ goal is to match volunteers with the many events and projects within the program district.

“Volunteers help make Franklin a great place to live, work, and play. All members of the community who would like to get involved with the many projects in our vibrant downtown district are encouraged to get involved. We need and welcome all forms of help – your time, talents, creativity and energy,” said Linda Schlott, Franklin Main Street Program Executive Director.

Franklin Friends’ new initiative is being sponsored this year by Macon Bank.
