Last Saturday nearly 200 people gathered at the Church of Christ in Franklin to celebrate the 70th wedding anniversary of John L. and Dorothy R. Crawford.

Friends and family from all over the southeast made the trip to Franklin to congratulate the happy couple, who despite their age, both are 93-years-old, and are still as active and involved in the community as when they first met on October 12, 1940.

“We were really excited and so happy that so many people came to celebrate with us and glad they all seemed to enjoy themselves,” said Dorothy.
