The Macon County Fair Cake Committee will again be selecting the 2012 “Best Cake in Macon County” at the 59th Annual Macon County Fair. Do you have a special cake recipe that has been handed down thru generations or one that always disappears first at the church suppers? If so, why not enter it in the “Best Cake in Macon County” contest.

Entries will be accepted on Saturday, Sept. 15, between 10 and 11 a.m. at the Macon County Fair pavilion. Entry forms may be found in the fair catalogue or may be filled out when contestants enter the contest that Saturday. Cake judging will begin at 11 a.m. at the pavilion. All entries and recipes become the property of the Macon County Fair. Recipes and photos may be printed in the Macon County Fair Cookbook.
