East Franklin gets presidential

As part of a unit on government and presidents, first grade students at East Franklin Elementary School were assigned presidents to learn about.

On Monday, Presidents Day, the students dressed up as their president and presented some of the things they had learned.

First grade teacher Pam Owens said that the students always have a great time with the yearly activity, but added that most of them are more interested in the presidents’ favorite food or the name of their pet than in their politics.
