Window Wonderland to Debut Dec. 5 & 12

An old fashion Christmas will descend upon the historic town of Franklin from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays, Dec. 5 and 12. Sponsored by the Town of Franklin, the Streets of Franklin and the Tourist Development Committee, the Victorian buildings of downtown Franklin will provide the perfect backdrop for these festive evenings. In vintage clothing there will be characters from Charles Dickens’ book- the Sheriff, Fire Chief, Town Crier, a Red Cross nurse, rose ladies, lamplighter, chimney sweep and even Tiny Tim, Bob Craitchet and Scrooge. The downtown windows will be alive with animated Christmas displays. Real people, not mannequins, will be enacting typical holiday scenes. |
