Opinion Letters Thomas Jefferson quote dedicated to aldermen

I know that there has already been a lot written about our mayor being “censured” by our egotistical aldermen, however, I would like to include my two cents.

When I don’t exactly know what to say when the situation or incident or whatever you want to call it has been so increduously silly and inane, I tend to quote much smarter people than myself.

I dedicate the following to all of the aldermen, with the exception of Bob Scott, of course: “Whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void and of no force.” (Thomas Jefferson - 1798) And, I truly believe if Thomas Jefferson were alive today, his firmest desire would be to return the mound to its rightful owners, the EBC.
