With the recent emphasis on shopping locally, especially from the “Main Street” merchants, one merchant went above and beyond doing something for the merchants and residents of Macon County.
On Monday, Nov. 19, Tony Hernandez, owner of “Life's Bounty Bakery & Cafe” opened his Event Center on Main Street for a complete Thanksgiving feast. A full buffet with two pastas, turkey, dressing, potatoes, pot roast, meatloaf, lots of veggies, fresh baked rolls and a huge array of fabulous desserts. All of which was delicious.
There was a small group of musicians playing and singing, which made for a delightful evening.
In return, Tony only asked for a donation to “Shop with a Cop.” Too bad you weren't there.
Our sincere thanks to Tony, his family and his staff for a lovely evening for a worthwhile cause.
