A contingent from the Macon County Senior Games traveled to Raleigh recently for the State Championship Senior Games and brought home dozens of medals: 29 gold, 29 silver and 25 bronze.

The medal winners celebrated with a luncheon at the community building. Macon County seniors are invited to join in the fun.

Charlie Honeycutt cleaned up at this year’s Senior Games Championship winning six medals: two gold, two silver and two bronze.Winning first, second and third in croquet respectively is Martha Rayborn, Jan Sharp and Sue Schultz.Swimmers Ronald Schott and Ursula Weiss brought home a total of 10 medals between them. Schott won two gold, two silver and one bronze; Weiss won four gold and one bronze.
