In a matter of days, the Franklin High School Band will be heading to Jacksonville, Fla., to participate in the televised Gator Bowl parade and be part of the half-time show for Ohio State and Florida.
The band students and parents have been working very hard the past year to raise the needed funds for the trip, and are now trying to finalize the trip. The band is still in need of approximately $3,000 to finish out the transportation costs of the trip.
The band’s annual Christmas concert is set for Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center of the Franklin High School. This concert is combined with the Macon Middle School band, and is a free concert (as all concerts have been free for the past 10 years at least).
Anyone (individual, business, etc) that would like to contribute to the cause of helping the band finish paying for this once-in-a-lifetime trip can come and donate to this cause. The band boosters are asking for any assistance they can get.
