Franklin High School Varsity Women's Volleyball team played at home Monday against Cherokee, winning in three matches, 25-11, 25-9, 25-12.

Amy Underwood finished with 8 kills, Mariah Wallace with 7 kills, Sarah Henson with 6 kills, Haylee Overholt with 16 assists, 5 kills, and 8 aces (in one game); and Kailin Carpenter had 7 assists.

Franklin High School Women's golf played on the Mill Creek Course Wednesday, Aug. 22.

The final scores were Keirsten Hedden, 54 (L); Sydney Pierce, 48 (M) ; and Erin Campbell, 46 (R).








Lauren Richards, freshman-beginner, who ranks number 4 on the team.Franklin High School Women's Tennis lost to Brevard in a home match on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 0-9.

This year’s tennis team is down four experienced players due to graduation.

Recent games with Enka (0-9) and Pisgah (3-6) have failed to produce a win.

Senior Michaela Hilliard, the only returning player with singles experience. Hilliard is ranked number 1 on the team.Other members rounding out the roster are junior Katrina Harris, freshman Haylee Garrett, sophomore Ashley Hull ( #2), junior Carolin Schitzius (#3) who is an exchange student from Germany; sophomore Lexi Kloeppel (#6) and freshman Mary Katherine Karcher.
