The internationally-acclaimed Harlem Ambassadors will be visiting Franklin for a game with the Franklin Dribblers at Franklin High School in the Panther Pit on Tuesday, March 11, at 7 p.m.
The Harlem Ambassadors offer a unique brand of Harlemstyle basketball, featuring high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball handling tricks and hilarious comedy routines.
The Ambassadors feature non-stop laughs and deliver a positive message of “Stay in School – Stay off Drugs” for kids wherever they play. “At our shows, we want the kids to know that they are a part of our team, too,” Coach Lade Majic said, “We invite as many kids as we can to come sit on the bench, have a front row seat during the show, and get involved in all of the fun stuff we do.”
The Ambassadors set themselves apart from other “Harlemstyle” basketball teams by working with local not-for-profit and service organizations and holding Harlem Ambassadors shows as community fundraising events. For Franklin’s event the ambassadors have partnered with The Franklin Chamber of Commerce and the Franklin High School Booster Club.
In addition to working with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Boys & Girls Clubs, Big Brother, etc., they are proud to perform for U.S. military bases all over the world. The Harlem Ambassadors perform more than 200 shows a year.
Playing on the Franklin Dribblers team will be an array of familiar and local personalities.
Advanced tickets are now available at the Franklin Chamber of Commerce and will be available at the door on March 11. Adult tickets are $8, students tickets are $5 and children 5 and under are free. Tickets are limited and may be picked up at the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce.
