Paul Baillargeon, practices his award-winning swing. Baillargeon began competing in Senior Games in 2001 and has won a gold medal 9 out of 10 years.The 21st Annual Macon County Senior Games, hosted by the Macon County Recreation Department will be held April 18-May 14.

Senior Games is a yearround organization for fun and fellowship for anyone 55 years and older.

Seniors meet throughout the year for practice, ice cream socials, fund raisers, flea markets and fellowship, culminating in competition every spring.

Games include athletics, Silver Arts, and Silver Striders.

Registration is $15. The deadline for registration is April 25.

Bob Tennant began competing after seeing an ad in the newspaper. He plays table tennis, bowling and badminton. He and his wife JoAnn moved to Franklin from Ohio in 1996. “It is such an easy way to make friends and the camaraderie is great.”Call the parks and recreation department for more information at (828)369-0832 or (828)349-2090.
